Second opinion inspections

If you’ve received a report or scope from a builder, insurer or contractor and want an independent view, we provide a separate assessment for comparison. A second set of licensed eyes often tells a different story.

Owner vs insurer disputes

Independent assessment of storm, flood, water ingress and moisture-related damage against the insurer’s scope of works and claim documentation. We give you an evidence base that isn’t produced by the party managing the claim.

Practical completion and handover disputes

Independent inspection before you accept the keys, while rectification is still the builder’s legal obligation. Once you sign off, the burden of proof shifts to you.

Construction progress and stage disputes

Our QBCC-licensed inspector attends site and conducts a thorough assessment of all relevant and accessible areas. We use professional-grade equipment including FLIR thermal imaging to identify moisture, water ingress and conditions not visible to the naked eye.

Receive Your Detailed Report

Your written report documents every defect and workmanship concern identified, with photographs and plain-language descriptions. Your inspector is available to walk you through the findings by phone.

We assist with disputes between property owners and builders, owners and insurers, owners and subcontractors, body corporates and lot owners, and parties involved in practical completion or handover disagreements. If there is a visible building defect, workmanship concern or water damage matter at the centre of the dispute, we can provide an independent inspection and report.

We provide independent building damage inspections and assessments based on the insurer’s scope of works and associated claim documentation. We do not approve or process insurance claims, our role is to provide an independent account of visible damage and an assessment of the scope provided.

An independent report gives you documented, photographic evidence of visible defects and workmanship concerns prepared by a licensed inspector with no affiliation to either party. It can be used to support negotiations, formal complaints to the QBCC, tribunal proceedings, insurance claims, or body corporate disputes.
